It's said that Marriage is an institution that brings two hearts closer, but can marriage be that institution which brings two broken hearts together?.
Does Marriage only happen once and remain for lifetime? Does Remarriage equate to marriage...does a person feel the same excitement, same enthusiasm about his remarriage as he felt about his first marriage. Along with remarriage , the duties, responsibilities remain the same as marriage , even if you dont wish to yet you have to fulfil these duties. Expectations from such remarriage remain the same as the first marriage, does an individual feel the same enthusiasm to fufill these dreams and expectations as the first marriage ?
Thus Punar Vivaah is a story about two individuals who are heartbroken, two individuals who have shared their lives with some else earlier, who have shared those magical moments of first marriage with someone else yet due to circumstances now they are bonded into the holy institution of marriage for a second time and from there begins the journey they embark upon thereafter.

Yash goes to the bathroom to have bath but realizes that the lock was not working. He therefore asks Ansh to stand outside the bathroom and not let anyone to come inside.
Meanwhile, Aarti arrives from the market. Ansh hears her voices and runs downstairs.
After sometime Aarti comes to her room and enters the bathroom to change her sari. She, however, fails to sees Yash in the bathtub. When the duo realizes each others presence, they feel embarrassed. To their surprise, the door had got locked and so they cannot come out. Yash tries his beat to break open the door but fails.
Maya tries to convince Gayatri to allow Pratik and Paridi to go to Mumbai for holidays.
When Vidhi enquires with the family about Yash, Ansh gets worried as he remembers that Yash had told him to stand outside the bathroom.
When Vidhi learns about it, she rushes to help Yash.
In the bathroom, Yash shares with Aarti the moments spend with Arpita in Mumbai. Aarti takes the opportunity and tries to convince Yash to take her and children to Mumbai.
Gayatri, Vidhi, Paridi, Maya and the children rush to Yash and Aarti's room to help them. They get shocked on seeing Aarti and Yash together in the bathroom.
Later Gayatri and Aarti get surprised when Yash agrees to take Aarti and their children to Mumbai. Paridi on the other hand feels upset as she would not be able to go to Mumbai. Maya tries to pacify Paridi and assures to help her.
Late at night, Paridi wakes up startled. She rushes out and calls the family. On enquiring the family learns that Paridi dream saw Yash and Aarti dead in her dreams. A concerned Gayatri decides not to allow Aarti and Yash to go to Mumbai. The family tries to convince Gayatri to change her decision. On the other hand Maya rejoices.
